Aponte reserve is a nature preserve in the Narino department of Colombia. The Inga peoples are descendants of the Inca, and have inhabited the area since the 18th century. The coffee grown here is Caturra variety, with growing altitudes averaging 2100 meters. The smallholder contributors bring in ripe cherries, where the fruit is traditionally fermented and washed to produce a clean cup profile. We taste classic flavors of red fruits, smooth vanilla and sweet brown sugar.
