The Limu area of the Oromia Zone is lesser known than others like Yirgacheffe or Guji, however the potential for delicious coffee remains. The fertile clay soils here offer growing altitudes between 1,400 and 2,200 meters where the Feyisa Abamecha washing station is located. Smallholder farmers bring ripe fruits to the site, where cherry is sorted, weighed, notated and then processed. After depulping, the seeds are dry fermented for up to 48 hours and then transferred to washing tanks and then dried on raised beds. The cup holds a delicate and crystal clear profile with notes of peach, lemon-lime candy and fresh flowers.
